Talk about a Hybrid Theory...

Cardboard Chaos might sound like a segment on Art Attack (especially once you learn that host Neil Buchanan plays in a greasy metal band) but it’s actually a collaboration between packing company Ernest Packaging and Signal Snowboards. This somewhat unlikely team-up added up to a quartet of WTFery when they linked up with Fender and Linkin Park to create a line of guitars made from cardboard.

The project follows the meticulous making of a cardboard Stratocaster in the style of a classic 1950s ‘cutaway.’ As The Daily Mail reports, “the biggest challenge was building the perfect neck, which would have to withstand 250 pounds of torque.” After being hand cut by Fender’s master builder Paul Waller, it looks a lot less like a janky high school art project than you might expect. The final destination is Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and Brad Delson, who plug in and let this thing rip.
