Compressorhead's music is written by Canadian punk hero John Wright of Nomeansno.

We first covered Compressorhead (“the world’s heaviest metal band”) in 2013 with their mechanized cover of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades.” To bring you back up to speed, the band includes four-armed drummer Stickboy, 78-fingered guitarist Fingers, and Bones – “the highest precision bass player in known existence.” Take that, Victor Wooten.

Now, Compressorhead has risen again to seek out a “heavyweight” vocalist in their goal to become “the first 100% robot band to record an original album.” With the help of a crowdfunding campaign, the trio of humanoid artists behind the bots will build a singer that will “have the moves, the looks and keep the show pumping.” Canadian punk hero John Wright of Nomeansno and The Hanson Brothers is also on board to write the songs of their debut. Watch him in action with the band below:

Compressorhead aim to debut the new four-piece (built of many more pieces of metal) and release the album in summer 2016 at the Wacken Open Air festival.
