The Saint John, New Brunswick rockers lace their post-punk agitation with melodic warmth.
Saint John, New Brunswick rockers and our 2014 Pop Montreal highlight Little You Little Me have a new album out December 4th, but you don’t have to wait another week to get your buzzsaw guitar fix: you can listen to the stream right now below.
From relentless opener “Fuckushima” to the crushing, almost stoner-metal “Unwanted Company”, it’s clear LYLM aren’t fucking around with any light indie fare on I’d Watch The Day Til It Died. Coming across like a revved-up Goo-era Sonic Youth tempered with the hook-finding acumen of fellow coastal mainstays like Thrush Hermit, the 14 tracks here are inventive, diverse and always manage to lace their post-punk agitation with just the right amount of melodic warmth.
