The disgusting version of "Hey Jude" has earned the Ohio frat a suspension and an investigation.

Ah, fraternities: The ancient, storied cultural practice where we put a bunch of horny young dudes in close quarters and expect nothing perverse and dumb to happen, up to and including performances of Beatles covers with creepy sex lyrics. But hey, it’s not a bad tradeoff for personal growth and the good of the higher education community, right?

The Acacia fraternity of Ohio University has been suspended with a university investigation pending after a video clip was posted on Twitter allegedly showing frat members serenading a sorority house with their version of “Hey Jude”, the artfully re-titled “Send Nudes.” According to the video poster, their satirical lyrics included the following Tom Lehrer-worthy line:

“Send nudes / don’t let me down / take this soft dick / and make it harder.”

Damn, these fratboys might just be the greatest satirists of our generation! Who wouldn’t want to party/discuss Keynesian economics with this bunch of binge-drinking Bro-taires?

This incident isn’t the first time this particular frat has been accused of disturbing conduct. Back in August, the university’s student union circulated a pamphlet that said Acacia was “notorious for drugging free drinks and raping girls.” The fraternity’s international headquarters investigated and responded by saying that no “actionable evidence” of crimes occurring had been found.

Social media response to the incident runs about the gamut that you would expect:

If you think it’s OK for dudes ostensibly getting a higher education to sing-shout Beatles sex parodies en masse to sororities, you might want to re-evaluate your worldview.
