PeopleandTheirCars.com isn't just a clever name.

The Chronicles of Corgan have seen another surprise twist with the Smashing Pumpkins singer launching his latest bold endeavour. People and Their Cars is a website featuring vintage slide images of the things in its title along with other old-timey treasures such as bridges, ships, trains, and bedrooms. See a few examples below:

The Artist Formerly Known as Billy spells out his modus operandi in the written equivalent of a monocle “Wherefore” page:

Pictures (mostly Vernacular), design elements (found), and ephemera with smatterings of Art (conscious). If you share please link back to this site. And duly note: Vintage slide images are presented in an ‘as is’ condition, without correction or removal of their inherent imperfections.

Corgan is giving Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee a run for its money in the literally titled website game. He’s taking the project so seriously that he’s quit Twitter to focus on these smatterings of Art. That means @Billy is up for grabs if you’re reading this, Billy Eichner!

The website also offers a ‘Red Border Club’ email list, giving members “not only the chance to receive additional images, but to be ‘first-in-line’ for updates on new merchandise and forthcoming People And Their Cars/Hexestential books. An it’s all for FREE: with no catch, fees, or obligation to buy.”

If your personal Venn Diagram includes Kodachrome photos, Cadillac Eldorados and “Bullet With Butterfly Wings”, sign up now!
