Just in time for Halloween, a Pumpkin is suing his own wrestling company.

Just like Bret Hart after the Montreal Screwjob, Total Nonstop Action wrestling President Billy Corgan is sick and tired of his wrestling promotion’s crap.

Just two months after taking over America’s second-biggest wrestling company, TNA Impact Wrestling, lifelong wrestling fan Billy Corgan is suing TNA’s owner in Nashville, Dixie Carter, and a few other parties at the owner and management level. Details about the ongoing litigation are currently scarce, but a spokesperson for Billy said: “As president, Billy is looking out for the long-term interest of the company, its employees, its talent, as well as its stakeholders and contractors.”

So, in other words: we can’t talk about it yet.

The lawsuit may have something to do with TNA’s recent financial shortcomings: the company isn’t the wrestling powerhouse it once was, and rumours abounded that it wouldn’t be able to put on its regular Bound For Glory show this year due to a lack of money. The show did eventually go on, however, albeit amidst rumours of slapdash preparation and last-minute deals. During the run-up to the show, Corgan admitted that previous TNA tapings were financed directly out of his own pocket, a fact which I’m guessing probably has something to do with the lawsuit.

Oh, and he’s also filed (and been granted) a restraining order against Carter.

Or maybe it’s all kayfabe and Billy’s just pulling off a McMahon-esque heel turn… after all, that is a vital part of any wrestling company president’s power walk.

Hopefully this whole thing ends with Billy delivering his finisher, The Everlasting Chaise, directly to Jeff Hardy’s cranium and his presidential wrestling duties continue.

In the meantime, won’t somebody step in and please save the company that brought us Final Deletion, aka the best wrestling storyline ever?
