Miley's dead petz will not include Canadian wildlife.

Miley Cyrus made the trek to British Columbia over the weekend to express her displeasure with the province’s annual wolf cull and grizzly bear hunts.

The Georgia Straight reports that the “Wrecking Ball” artist spent two days with scientists and First Nations people while travelling in a forested area along the central coast. In a statement released through the non-profit organization Pacific Wild, Miley said her visit confirmed her initial beliefs on the issue.

“When I first spoke out, I knew in my heart that the wolf cull was wrong,” said Cyrus. “But after this visit, I know science is on my side, not just on the wolf cull, but also on the trophy hunt issue. Both are unsustainable and both are horrific. Both have to end.”

A video was also released by Pacific Wild showcasing Miley’s visit and her thoughts on the controversial government approach.

B.C. Premier Christy Clark said on Friday that celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Pamela Anderson are uninformed when it comes to the wolf cull.

“We’re trying to defend an endangered species and population of caribou that will go utterly extinct in British Columbia if we don’t do this,” said Clark. “I just hope that they really work a little to understand the issue.”
