Hear 11 Drake songs mashed up with the Degrassi theme

Few people are going to argue that Drake is Toronto’s (and maybe Canada’s) #1 musical son right now. Still, in some people’s hearts, Aubrey Graham will always be that other rapping go-getter: Wheelchair Jimmy from Degrassi.

Sadly, you can’t have ‘em both. Or can you? YouTube user Demi Adejuyigbe has devised a solution with this killer mash-up of 11 Drake songs set to the Degrassi theme “Whatever It Takes.” The name of the mash-up? “Whatever It Drakes”, obviously.

This elaborate effort combines the theme’s music with a capella vocals from “Over”, “Forever”, “Headlines”, “Tuesday”, “Energy”, “0-100”, “Hold On, We’re Going Home”, “Truffle Butter”, “Worst Behaviour”, “Started From The Bottom”, and “Best I Ever Had.” Music videos are blended with footage of a babyfaced Degrassi-era Aubrey. The result? A surprisingly tight remix that, cleaned up a little, could be an OVO summer jam.
