Yet another crossover you didn't know you needed.

From their humble beginnings in Queens eating refried beans to their legacy status as one of the greatest American punk bands, The Ramones have done it all.

In the category of ultra nerdy crossovers, that includes covering the Spider-Man cartoon theme, penning a moody tune for Stephen King’s Pet Semetary and performing an angry birthday tribute to Mr. Burns. Following the 2014 death of their final original member, the band is now posthumously heading to Riverdale’s rock ‘n’ roll high school for a special edition Archie comic.

At this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con, writers Alex Segura and Matthew Rosenberg shared some info about the upcoming one-off storyline involving a battle of the bands. “We’re all huge Ramones fans, and though it took a while to work out the details, once things started moving, it actually went pretty quick,” said Segura. “It’s gonna be a super-fun oversized one-shot, with covers by some truly amazing artists (whom I can’t announce just yet), and it syncs up nicely because it’ll be the 75th Anniversary of Archie, and the 40th Anniversary of the Ramones… It’s really kinda like a dream come true to be doing this.”

This news arrived via Comics Alliance, who have also shared the comic’s cover, shown below.
