Come on and slam and welcome back to the jam.
The NBA/Looney Tunes rumour mills have been churning with news of a possible Space Jam sequel starring LeBron James. This speculation comes from two sources: Variety reporting that King James inked a deal with Warner Bros. following his recent acting turn in the film Trainwreck. This comes on the heels of Warner Bros. filing new trademarks for the Space Jam franchise last month.
If ESPN’s Brian Windhorst is to be believed, several production companies have previously approached James about a starring role in the prospective sequel. He made his own interest clear back in 2012 when he excitedly responded to a fan with a similar question.
The biggest questions on our mind at this point is who will earn the slots for the new Monstars anthem? B-Real, Coolio, Method Man, LL Cool J, and Busta Rhymes hit ‘em high in the original 1996 flick, so our votes for the rebooted squad are Lil B, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, and whichever member of Migos is down.
