Grease finally gets the death metal makeover it deserves

If you’ve ever been to your local karaoke night, you already know that performances of Grease‘s “You’re The One That I Want” can be an uncompromising showcase of punishment and mutilation. Blessedly, there’s now a version where the darkness is baked in for max effect.

Behold Andy Rehfeldt‘s death metal makeover of Danny and Sandy’s timeless duet. This electrifying remake brings some much-needed guttural ferocity and blazing guitars to the musical theatre mix to the point where you’ll wonder how you lived without it. The Shake Shack has never seemed more hilariously intense.

Will we get a grindcore version of “Who’s That Guy?” from Grease 2? We suppose we’ll have to wait and see.
