Hell hath no fury like a studio head scorned.

Glenn Fricker is the longhaired proprietor of Spectre Media, a recording studio and music tutorial series filmed at his home in Tecumseh, Ontario. Following up on previous videos such as “How to Record Heavy Drums” and “Things Musicians NEVER SAY in the studio!!!” he has now shared a series of misguided messages sent from band members to himself and other engineer buddies, adding his own exasperated commentary.

From delusions of grandeur (“This is the big one. Get at me.”) to young grindcore bands (“Are you comfortable with mixing and mastering an album by teenagers?”), horrific typos (“MY DRUMMER IS ALL GAY,, SAIS HES GOING ON AN ANNERVERSARY CRUISE OR SOMETHING RETARDED” [sic]), confusing Kickstarters (“Dinner with your favorite band members on us. We will send you it.”), virtual bassists, and all the gloriously dumb rock star cliches you’d expect, it ends with a lengthy iMessage thread between the band and engineer (possibly Fricker himself) where both parties comes across as salty dogs.

His disclaimer states that “All of these are real. Names have been removed to protect the stupid and the guilty.” See the messages in our gallery above and watch Fricker’s video below. [H/T Metal Sucks]
