If you’re one of those dummies who thinks Yoko Ono broke up the Beatles, you’re going to want to stop reading right… about… now.

Because this weekend, Ringo Starr was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the last Beatle to be honoured individually, and in her speech introducing her old friend, Ono dropped a bit of a bombshell: “No one is probably going to believe it,” said Ono to Rolling Stone, “but he was the most influential Beatle.”

She elaborated, explaining that Ringo’s personality, while “up and down” as anyone else’s, was very much the embodiment of “peace and love.”

Ringo was always just very gentle.

The Beatles were inducted into the hall of fame in 1988. John Lennon was inducted as a solo artist in 1994, while Paul McCartney and George Harrison followed in 1999 and 2004.
