This artist reimagined post-punks as iconic Marvel superheroes

We generally think of post-punks as waifer-thin, cigarette smoking proto-goths — the kind of people who’d rather sway than punch-mosh at a show. Naturally, then, “superheroes” aren’t the first parallel we’d draw to names like Ian Curtis, Morrissey and Gary Numan. But one artist has, and it works.

Brazilian designer Butcher Billy has reimagined the genres icon as some of Marvel Comics’ finest. Morrissey as the Hulk? It actually makes sense — we can picture the floppy haired vegan boiling into a blind rage at the sight of a sizzling hamburger. See the full collection in the gallery above.
