Butch Walker is a hair-metaller turned songwriter to the stars. He helped Fall Out Boy crossover from punks to pop stars, he’s written songs for Avril Lavigne and Pink and has been known to pal around with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer and Ryan Adams. Point is: Whether you know the name or not, Walker’s been at this a while, which makes his tweets this morning all the more hilarious.

And then his inner-rockist came out:

We never took Walker to be part of the “rap is crap” crowd, but in his man-bun-hating frustrations the truth has come out.
