The Brand New and Taking Back Sunday beef has been re-ignited

For a moment there, it seemed like Brand New’s Jesse Lacey and Taking Back Sunday’s Adam Lazzara had made amends. But emo’s biggest beef—and the source of countless songs, like “Seventy Times Seven” and “There’s No ‘I’ in Team’—isn’t done yet. Nor will it ever be done. Why? Because Lacey and Lazzara are like the 2Pac and Biggie—except for that fact that they’re way, way wussier. They’re emo kids, after all.

Lazzara, fresh off charges of drunk driving, re-opened old wounds in a recent interview, where he was asked about “There’s No ‘I’ in Team.”

Of course, he didn’t try to claim he was without fault. “Who am I to say?” he continued “There’s somebody out there that’s gonna say I’m not a good person. I don’t know.”
