The little girl from Missy Elliott's classic videos made a "Work It" tribute

Even though we knew it was happening, watching Missy Elliott kill it at the Super Bowl was an absolute surprise. She looked, and most importantly sounded, absolutely fantastic. The nearly 13-year-old “Work It” hasn’t aged a day, yet we were still hit in the feels with a nostalgia filled arrow.

But something was missing. Someone, actually — dancer Alyson Stoner, who as a 9-year-old all but stole the show in the song’s iconic video.

Contrary to how these things usually go, however, Stoner hasn’t fallen far off the map in the decade since, and after her phone blew up following the halftime performance she got the rest of the video’s original dance crew together for a pretty charming tribute to “Work It,” complete with kind of uncomfortable Missy Elliott facsimile.

Great, no? And thankfully they left this bit out of their tribute:
