Ghomeshi's Twitter and Facebook profiles have also been deleted.

It has been nearly one month to the day since Jian Ghomeshi was fired from the CBC for what we quickly learned were countless allegations of sexual assault and abuse, and while the media frenzy surrounding the disgraced Q host has settled down in the weeks since, one of the questions that remained was: What about that $55 million lawsuit Ghomeshi had launched against his former employer?

We learned in early November that the CBC had filed a motion to dismiss the suit, which they called “frivolous,” but from there the focus quickly turned to a possible criminal investigation against Ghomeshi after several of his alleged victims began talking to police. That was when he hired criminal attorney Marie Henein, who joked about the allegations against her client.

But today, a twist in the case appeared. CBC’s Ioanna Roumeliotis reported first that parties in the suit had reached a settlement and that the lawsuit had been withdrawn.

Citing the CBC’s Chuck Thompson, Kevin Donovan, the Toronto Star investigative journalist who alongside Canadaland’s Jesse Brown helped break the Ghomeshi story, tweeted that while details have yet to surface that he had heard that the case had been settled.

Roumeliotis then confirmed as much, tweeting that the case had been withdrawn with cost, reporting that Ghomeshi had withdrawn the suit and would pay a reported $18,000 of the CBC’s legal fees.

Recently it was noted that Ghomeshi’s Twitter had been deleted, and today, it was also noted that his public Facebook page had also been removed, while his personal page was still active, though with heavier privacy settings.
