Polaris short-listers Basia Bulat, Mac DeMarco, Jessy Lanza, Owen Pallett, Shad and Tanya Tagaq are all set to perform alongside host Jay Baruchel at this year’s Polaris Gala. The event kicks off on September 22 at The Carlu in Toronto, with members of Arcade Tire and YAMANTAKA // SONIC TITAN also in attendance.

Seeing as this lineup is, for lack of a better word, good—you’re probably wondering how you can see the thing. Well, if you like leaving your home, you can buy one of the limited tickets that are available to the public here. Since we’re friends of the people, we’re also streaming the event live right here on our website.

The folks with the Polaris Music Prize have also revealed the members of the Grand Jury entrusted to make the fateful decision:

Adam Bowie – Daily Gleaner (Fredericton)
Lorraine Carpenter – CultMLT (Montréal)
Stephen Cooke – Chronicle Herald (Halifax)
Jessica Émond-Ferrat – Journal Métro (Montréal)
Luke Fox – Exclaim (Toronto)
Liisa Ladouceur – Freelance (Toronto)
Melody Lau – Much (Toronto)
Julia LaConte – NOW (Toronto)
Stephanie McKay – Star Pheonix (Saskatoon)
Alan Ranta – Freelance (Vancouver)
Mark Teo – AUX (Toronto) [WOOO]

And if you physically can’t wait for this to happen, remember to check out our joint effort with Polaris, the Polaris Cover Series.
