As any musician can attest, writing lyrics are hard. But sites like Rap Pad—which promises that they can write, and generate, lyrics about anything—are here to help. Punch in any topic you want, and, for the most part, the site generates a semi-coherent song—and we’re impressed with its absurd, sometimes profound, creations. So, we put the site to the test: We got the generator to pen lyrics about everything from Toronto’s cracksmoking mayor to deep existential malaise. Here’s what it found.
