Take a moment today to put Hunting on your radar, and listen to the song “Everything Will Be Okay.”

Hunting is the indie-folk project from songwriter Bradley Ferguson, who’d previously been releasing electro-rock albums under the name Bradley. Ferguson spent the spring of 2012 in Berlin and Paris with the intention of penning a third album with a similar electro-rock sound, but ultimately chose a different sound, while creating music with a group of friends.

He found himself enjoying sharing the creative process, which led to the birth of Hunting’s self-titled record (released via Nevado Records).  It’s warm infusion of acoustic and distorted rock with melodies that are charmingly cautious, woven together with soothing folk arrangements and vocals that are reminiscent of Elliott Smith, Conor Oberst and even Beck’s latest Mutations throwback, Morning Phase.

Take a spin and catch the band on the road (dates below).

Here’s the official video for “Everything Will Be Okay” which was directed by Brian Johnson and shot on a January evening in Vancouver’s Gastown.
