The last time we checked in with Korn, Jonathan Davis and co. were in the studio, growing actual corn. Well, months later, it looks like chowing down on all that cob led to an a-maize-ing creative and political renaissance, which today, they unveiled in their scathing video for “Spike My Veins.”

Taking aesthetic inspiration from Korn’s glory days, the video, taken from 2013’s Paradigm Shift, looks like it could’ve been straight out of 1997, with the band performing in front of a virtual-reality carousel of screens. Thematically, it touches on a vague political message typical of the nu metal era, and amidst shots of Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Barack Obama, it has a tone that feels part faux-revolutionary, part 9/11 conspiracy theorist, and part libertarian. (Davis, for his part, seems very concerned about government surveillance of Korn’s corn crops. He might also believe that Anthony Kiedis is microchipped.)

The video also features shots of corrupt politicians, and—TORONTO, STAND UP!—no greasy politico list is complete without Hogtown’s crack-smoking mayor, Rob Ford. Footage of Ford’s football foibles, his city council dance-offs, and his drunken rage blackouts all play prominent roles in the video. Watch it below.
