Noel Gallagher hates 'Reflektor,' thinks Arcade Fire are arrogant

Noel Gallagher’s star isn’t shining as bright as it used to, but that hasn’t stopped us from being fascinated by everything that comes out of his cuss-filled mouth. The latest? He hates Arcade Fire’s new album. Or, he would, if he had the time to listen to it. Here’s what he told Rolling Stone about Reflektor:

I haven’t heard it. Anybody that comes back with a double album, to me, needs to pry themselves out of their own asshole. This is not the Seventies, okay? Go and ask Billy Corgan about a double album. Who has the fucking time, in 2013, to sit through 45 minutes of a single album? How arrogant are these people to think that you’ve got an hour and a half to listen to a fucking record?

It wasn’t all shit talking, though. He went onto praise Yeezus (he loves “Black Skinhead”), thinks people should get into Disclosure and says “Get Lucky” is effortless and brilliant.

The whole thing is so quotable we’ll just point you in the right direction and let you have at it. Aren’t you the least bit curious as to who he’s talking about when he says “she’s probably doing a shit on top of a boiled egg right now. And somebody will fucking freeze it and call it art.”
