Russia. It’s a mysterious place, one where gays are prosecuted just for existing and musicians are arrested, and later lost in terrifying Siberian prisons. But for all the bad juju and madness coming out under Putin, there’s this, a perplexing video of the Russian police singing “Get Lucky” that’s so delightfully weird we’re think it has to be fake.

But it isn’t! And it’s magical! Watch as a bunch of partly portly po-pos slink to the overplayed anthem of year. You’ll lose it the first time Russian Mr. Bean serenades the crowd (also cops) as his jolly conductor jaunts along. This is far from forgiveness on the country’s many recent human rights foibles, but it’s still super charming in a creepy cable-access sort of way.

Can’t listen? That’s what GIFs are for! Check those below.

In other weird Daft Punk news, the Wall Street Journal recently did a write up on the French duo that featured their kids dressed up as their digital daddies. Both Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo have two kids, so it’s not clear whose offspring is shown, but man? So cute, even with the Terry Richardson creep factor adding in a half-naked Gisele Bundchen
