Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its nominees for the 2014 class, and we’ll spoil some of the surprise: it’s massive.

Headliners include Nirvana, the Replacements, and N.W.A., but the list is rounded out with a pretty diverse bunch of big names: KISS, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens, Peter Gabriel, Chic, LL Cool J, The Zombies, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Link Wray, The Meters, Yes, Linda Ronstadt, and Deep Purple.

Like last year, Rolling Stone is holding a vote on behalf of the Hall which will help select who gets in. It’s worth noting that this is just Nirvana’s first year of eligibility and getting in on your first try is far from a certainty. Just ask Rush, who were finally inducted last year after 15 years of eligibility. And even then, who says they won’t pull an Axl?
