There’s some confusion over what exactly happened in Monroe, Louisiana this weekend, but what we know for sure is that concert goers showed up at the venue for an R. Kelly concert and were treated to an impersonator instead.

Fans told a Louisiana CBS affiliate that Ticketmaster was advertising the show as an R. Kelly concert, but that Kelly never showed.

“We was scammed because 10 o’clock we was there, no R. Kelly. 11 o’clock no R. Kelly, 12 o’clock no R. Kelly, 12:45 no R. Kelly,” said the anonymous fan. “1 o’clock here comes an impersonator.”

Show promoter Cedric Johnson allegedly texted the station saying he was “duped,” but later denied that he sent the message. It’s not know if refunds will be issued.
