Watch Madonna cover Elliott Smith's "Between the Bars"

Madonna’s gone artsy on us with a new, 17-minute short film released last night for free through BitTorrent. secretprojectrevolution is Madge’s “examination of our private prisons,” and at its premiere in New York’s Gagosian Gallery she performed Elliott Smith’s “Between the Bars,” a rendition that began with her being dragged across the stage by two men costumed as prison guards and ended with raucous applause and countless shirtless men.
