When we say Sigur Rós are set to appear on an episode of Game of Thrones, we mean it. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Jónsi, Georg Hólm and Orri Páll Dýrason are currently shooting the show in Crotia, where the popular show shoots most of its Kings Landing scenes.

We say most because actors Aiden Gillen and Peter Dinklage were recently spotted in Sigur Rós’ home country of Iceland, leading to rumours that winter could finally be coming to Kings Landing. As to why the band would shoot in Crotia and not their home country, we can’t speculate. Maybe this is more than a little cameo? Probably not, but if we had to guess, maybe expect a lute or two.

Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are fans of the band, so we wouldn’t put it past hearing a Sigur Rós song in the credits or closing credits like what The National did with “The Rains of Castamere” and “The Bear and Maiden Fair”.
