Man stabbed for listening to the Eagles

People can be pretty passionate about their favourite bands, and even more so over the ones they can’t stand. Case in point, a 64-year-old South Carolina man was stabbed multiple times by his roommate after he refused to stop listening to the Eagles.

According to North Charleston police, the man told his roommate and former girlfriend to “shut up” when she asked to turn the “Witchy Woman” band off. Eventually, a scuffle started, leading Vernett Bader to grab a knife. After stabbing her roomie in the arm, hand and elbow, he and his brother managed to wrestle the blade away her, but Gawker says she was quick to grab another.

Unsurprisingly, all three were drunk when this happened.

Bader says she was acting in self-defence, claiming that she was choked, but police reported no visible signs of distress around her neck. She’s been charged with aggravated domestic violence.
