What are Arcade Fire planning for September 9th at 9pm?

While we wait for the Arcade Fire’s new album to drop on October 29th, the time is ticking for details and new music to slip out in the interim.

The thought is that the new album’s going to be called Reflektor, with compiled evidence tracing back to an Instagram account linked to the band. And if we continue down that line of investigation then 9pm on September 9th is about to be a big deal for fans.

Yesterday, these three images appeared on the account.

Is that when we’re going to hear a new song? We’d assume that by then, just under one month from the album’s release, we’d already have it’s title confirmed. But with Arcade Fire you can never be quite sure of what’s to come next. Maybe “Reflektor” is the title of a new song, which would certainly sound less ridiculous than having it as the album title.

Until then, keep your eyes and ears to the ground until then. We mean literally, since this all started from street art.
