The Weeknd’s first interview was published today, and in it, the Toronto singer tells Complex that he wants to show the world he can “shit out albums like nothing.” Maybe that explains why he skipped a few steps with “Belong To The World,” his new single which Portishead’s Geoff Barrow steals a sample from his own “Machine Gun.”

Responding to Pitchfork’s tweet about the new track sampling his song, Barrow said he thinks it’s a “load of bollox.”

“When someone asks to sample you and you refuse they should have the respect as a fellow artist to not use it,” he later added. “Feels like I’m being used to promote the track now… I’ll shut up now.”

The track comes with a new video that, in spite of being by a Canadian, can’t yet be viewed in the Weeknd’s home country. Geoblocking is great, isn’t it? Still, if you’ve got the right browser extension (Media Hint), watch it below.
