#16 (Hot 100): Wiz Khalifa & 2 Chainz – We Own It (Fast & Furious)

A very mighty mantra from the prophet Wiz Khalifa.

FUN FACT: A member of Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang is wanted in connection with the stabbing of Pittsburgh Steelers tackle Mike Adams. Quay Meanz signed to Taylor Gang recently, but I can’t imagine stabbing an ambassador of Black & Yellow is going to leave his membership in good standing.

#165 (Billboard 200): Snoop Lion – Reincarnated

The name genesis of Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr.: Snoop Doggy Dogg -> Snoop Dogg -> Snoop Lion -> Snoop Einstein

FUN FACT: Jimmy Fallon cut together clips of Brian Williams’ newscasts so that it looks like he’s rapping Snoop’s “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang”:

#12 (Hot 100): Ariana Grande – The Way feat. Mac Miller

That’s sort of the trade off when you’re on a label imprint with major distribution, Mac.

FUN FACT: Mac Miller’s new record, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, is being released on June 18th, the same day as new records by Kanye and J. Cole are dropping. Good luck, pal.

#34 (Social 50): Miley Cyrus

When did Miley ingratiate herself to the hip-hop community? Maybe when she started working with Mike Will and singing about molly, I guess?

FUN FACT: Here is the first evidence of Mike Will and Miley’s collaborations, “We Can’t Stop.” I couldn’t stop myself from turning it off. I welcome his foray into the pop music sphere, but for me, this is Mike Will’s first misfire.

#59 (Hot 100): Ke$ha – Crazy Kids feat. will.i.am & Juicy J

Ke$ha was in Toronto on June 5th, performing at the Molson Amphitheatre, so the fact that this tweet was posted at 1:16AM on June 6th means she was more than likely at Remmington’s at Yonge & Gerrard, home to “The Men Of Steel”:

FUN FACT: Have you seen the video for Ke$ha’s “Crazy Kids”? You owe it to yourself to jump to 1:35 to see the reveal of will.i.am, in some of the most laughable video compositing I’ve ever seen.
