Wearing their influences on their sleeves is nothing new for The Faceless, whose remarkably technical brand of death metal mixes nods from the early greats into a decidedly modern framework. But in a new interview with Metal Insider, guitarist Michael Keene says their inspiration is about to get more explicit with a new covers album.
Keene says there’s three songs tracked so far and that it should be out early next year. As for who The Faceless are planning to cover, the list is pretty diverse, and includes Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Killing Joke, Soundgarden, At the Gates, Megadeth and David Bowie.
