At the Gates' Slaughter of the Soul spotlighted in documentary

Anthropologist Sam Dunn has been busy since his landmark 2005 documentary Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey, travelling across the globe tracking and telling the story of heavy metal like no one before him. And as metal fans, that means we’re more than a little excited to announce his latest project — a retrospective special on At the Gates’ essential melo-death classic Slaughter of the Soul.

Premiering on December 24th at 8 p.m. EST on AUXTV, Metal Evolution: Albums -Slaughter of the Soul sees Dunn and his Banger TV team travelling to Sweden to catch up with At the Gates, where he got the story behind one of heavy metal’s most revered albums straight from the source. With rare footage, candid interviews and exclusive performances, Metal Evolution: Albums – Slaughter of the Soul is a must watch for metalheads.
