Though you can’t quite call it a complaint, fans were quick to notice that on their new album, Random Access Memories, Daft Punk took their electronic sound down a new analog root. In some respects, their sound almost paid respect to the music they’d sampled on earlier releases. For the most part, it works very well, and Random Access Memories is a massive success because of the shift in change. But what if you’re craving that synthesized sound of yore?

YouTuber Joe Jeremiah answers that by taking their sound back even further, compiling the incredibly long album into a short, five-minute medley. But this isn’t EDM, whatever that is. It’s 8-bit. And even though it probably shouldn’t be, it’s really good. Check it out up top.
