Katy Perry's pastor father says she's a 'devil child'

Katy Perry comes from humble, religious roots but her early days as Katy Hudson are a distant memory to the lavish, extravagant persona she’s since built for herself. Unfortunately, her dad’s not a fan of the transformation.

Keith Hudson, an evangelical Christian pastor, reportedly said during a recent sermon that he wants people to pray for his daughter.

“They ask how I can preach if I produce a girl who sang about kissing another girl?” Hudson reportedly said. According to the Sun, Hudson reportedly called Perry a “devil child” and said her fans reduced him to tears. Not in the good way, mind you.

“I was at a concert of Katy’s where there were 20,000. I’m watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church,” he said. “I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They’re loving and worshipping the wrong thing.”
