If you’re a slightly chubby Korean dude, sneaking into one of the world’s biggest film festival’s is apparently as easy as slicking your hair back, tossing on a suit and finding a goofy pair of sunglasses. That’s at least what happened in Cannes, where one Psy-look-alike (and not a very good one) looked the part enough to rub elbows with celebrities at the annual French festival.

For what it’s worth, the real star behind “Gentleman” and “Gangnam Style” took the whole thing in stride.

It looks like Scooter Braun complied and found the dude, resulting in this.

But apparently it was too late. The NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers shared (http://instagram.com/p/ZljXqOA8CS/) this picture of small forward Nicolas Batum (a native of France himself) posing with the impostor.

And here he is via club owner Ronnie Madra posing with Adrien Brody and friends.

The Atlantic Wire reports that the guy managed to schmooze his way into a number of private parties, even going so far as to grab the mic at Goga Ashkenazi’s secret party between “scamming” for free drinks at other bars. The craziest part, though, is that he also scammed his way onto a French TV show, where he taught the hosts how to do the “Gangnam Style” dance. Unfortunately that video’s since been made private. Apparently someone told them. Gawker says that Getty Images even had a few images from the scene tagged as Psy before the truth came out.

And to this: good for you, buddy.
