As her song “Stay” featuring Mikkey Ekko rose to the top spot last week, Rihanna became the first artist to rack up ten #1 songs on Billboard’s Nielsen BDS-based Pop Songs radio airplay chart. The chart was established in 1992, and “Stay” broke a tie between Rihanna and Katy Perry at nine chart toppers apiece. (If anyone doubts Rihanna’s Billboard domination, we should also point out that she was nominated for ten Billboard Music Awards this year).

This is a cause for celebration in Rih-Rih’s camp, but let’s not tip-toe around what this really means: On pop radio, Rihanna is the most overplayed artist of the last 20 years. Not that we’re complaining! Most of the songs on the list below hold up as some of the best pop songs from the last decade. If someone has to be overplayed, we’re glad it’s Rihanna, and not those goofballs in LMFAO.

2006: “SOS”
2008: “Take a Bow”
2008: “Disturbia”
2008: “Live Your Life” (T.I. feat. Rihanna)
2010: “Rude Boy” (two)
2010: “Love the Way You Lie” (Eminem feat. Rihanna)
2010: “Only Girl (In the World)”
2011: “S&M”
2011: “We Found Love” (Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris)
2013: “Stay” (Rihanna feat. Mikky Ekko)
