Record Store Day forced vinyl aficionados to wake up extra early this past Saturday, in hopes of snatching up a few of the rarities and exclusives that fill the shelves of independent music retailers worldwide. You’ll never see a record store as packed as it is on the morning of RSD, unless One Direction are doing a signing at the last remaining HMV, or something.

Record Store Day generates some much-needed enthusiasm for the dying art of actually purchasing physical copies of music, but some crate-diggers are lining up for the wrong reasons. RSD is the busiest day of the year for eBay record flippers, aiming to beat collectors to the rarest of the rare, and flip them on eBay for a tidy profit.
