New breed of presumably dickish tarantula named after Dave Mustaine

Who knows what the spider did to deserve this but a new breed of tarantula has reportedly been named after icon-turned-idiot Dave Mustaine, known as much for his stature as Megadeth’s frontman as his crazed and ignorant rants.

Blabbermouth reports that the Aphonopelma Davemustainei was discovered in New Mexico and Arizona by Brent E. Hendrixson, who we imagine was immediately asked to show proof of his Ph.D. before being subjected to an angsty tirade about arachnid web control, or something.

Mustaine celebrated the discovery on Facebook by posting a picture of a plaque sent to him by Hendrixson which, for whatever reason, looked eerily like a ransom note.

Unrelated: the newly named Obamadon Gracilis dinosaur could totally destroy the Aphonopelma Davemustainei, and no matter how much it insists, it was found in Montana, not Kenya.
