In a series of tweets this morning, ex-Rheostatics guitarist/singer Dave Bidini announced that the band’s much-anticipated string of reunion shows in Toronto had been suddenly cancelled.

The only further explanation given so far is that guitarist/singer Martin Tielli is “incapable of performing in every capacity,” according to Bidini. “It’s not a band issue. We get along well,” he tweeted.
Bidini has also said that he will attempt to clarify in a future column. He called it his “worst day in music ever.”
@bookishjojo @somegoodnoise my worst day in music ever, jenn
