Forget the violence and topless women: Charlie Watts is the best part of the new Rolling Stones video

Charlie Watts keeps it real in the new video for “Doom and Gloom,” showing how all of us feel about a new Rolling Stones track in the Jonas Jonas Åkerlund-directed, Noomi Rapace starring clip.
With Mick Jagger wiggling between shots of zombies, exploding heads and topless chicks, Charlie Watts sullenly sits behind his drum kit, running through the song with a range of emotions that varies between “just woke up from a nap” and “man I need to take a nap.”
This isn’t a slight—he’s 71 and still gets it done—but he is nonetheless startlingly in contrast to the rest of the clip’s aesthetic. Here’s a fine example:
