Big Boi’s Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors is weeks away, and it’s looking big. But even with its long list of A-list collaborators, there’s one pretty notable name missing from the tracklist.

It sometimes feels like these days there’s not an album André 3000 isn’t willing to guest-rap on, but it’s just as regular for Big Boi to get the short end of that stick.

Label pressures prevented André 3000 from rapping on Big Boi’s Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, and with Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors on the horizon it looks like something else has gotten in the way of the closest thing we’ll see to an Outkast reunion any time soon: those stupid razor commercials.

“He could’ve been on any song he wanted to. I gave the motherfucker about 5 songs, but I guess he was just too busy,” said Big Boi to the Village Voice. “He said he had to do some Gillette shit.”

The interview makes a point of noting that everyone laughed after Big Boi said that, but he made sure they knew he was serious.

“No for real. He said he had some contractual obligations,” he added.

Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is expected out on December 11th.
