Watch three Chicago anchors patronize Ty Segall on the morning news

Two things happened when Ty Segall’s notoriously loud band played WGN’s morning news: he spent extended periods of time screaming “Chicago” and the anchors sat there pretended to be amused by it.
But here’s the thing: they were making fun of him. Tossing papers wildly off their desk and half-heartedly shouting “get this guy a doctor,” two of the three anchors are essentially laughing in Ty Segall’s face. While the performance sounded bad enough to warrant it, that doesn’t doesn’t make it appropriate.
