SCION SESSIONS: Watch Shout Out Out Out Out live at Olio Festival

This summer, AUX and Exclaim! followed Scion as it touched down at shows and festivals all over the country, bringing you interviews and exclusive, intimate performances from artists like Bad Bad Not Good, Austra, Prince Rama, Torro Torro and more.

On September 22, Shout Out Out Out Out & Teen Daze converged on the Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver to mark the release of their very special edition collaboration, a 12″ vinyl record comprised of one original from each band, and a swap of remixes. Olio Festival and Glory Days, both Vancouver institutions of music and over-enjoyment, played host to this momentous occasion.

The sky-high spirit of this collaboration on record shone through on stage, as Teen Daze’s soaring set of blissful dancefloor jams lead into an exultant set by Edmonton’s Shout Out Out Out Out, the 6-piece analog-obsessed synth-rock collective making their first return visit to Vancouver in two years.

Here, the band’s Nik Kozub and Lyle Bell get into the heights of this special occasion, and give some insight into how the beautiful Scion Sessions 12″ came together.
