The appeal hearing for the Pussy Riot sentencing, scheduled originally for today, has been delayed until October 10, after jailed band member Yekaterina Samutsevich’s dismissal of her lawyer Violetta Volkova.

Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev has called for the band’s release in recent weeks, and today, a global day of action will still take place with rallies in cities all over the world. To see if there’s one happening in your city, check the Pussy Riot website.

And fellow musicians continue to be vocal about their support too; New York’s MEN (not The Men), featuring ex-Le Tigre member JD Samson as well as Michael O’Neill and a collective of collaborators, released a new video for their song “Let Them Out Or Let Me In” today. The song was written in solidarity with Masha, Nadia and Katja, and the accompanying video is loaded with visuals of the women and their protests. Watch the video below and #FreePussyRiot.
