The end is near, but the weekend is still overly packed with CMW magic before you’re left relatively fesitval-less until June’s NXNE. (Quiet, SXSW-ers.) So with that in mind, grab a nap and prepare for one hell of a night out, beginning at everyone’s favourite music venue: The, um, Royal York.

Likely the first time many of us have ventured past the hotel’s revolving doors, The Indies will be raging at the Fairmont establishment for the second time, kicking off at 8 with Desperate Union, and continuing with performances by Hannah Georgas, Bombay Bicycle Club, Hollerado, Shad and Janelle Monae in her only Toronto appearance. If you don’t want to leave your house for this, you’re in luck because AUX is streaming it live.

But if you’re not one for award ceremonies, hit up the SINGLE BEST SHOW AT CMW, Fred Penner at the Drake Underground at 8:30 p.m. (!)

Or prepare to feel conflicted as of 10 p.m. when PEI’s The North Lakes take the stage at Mitzi’s Sister, The Balconies play at Lee’s Palace, and MEN prepare to own Sneaky Dee’s at 10:15.

As the west end would have it, Wrongbar promises another night worthy of cementing it as one-stop shop: Pack AD takes the stage at 10, Ty Segall at midnight, and Teenanger at 1 a.m. Afterwards? The after parties are yours for the taking.
