PSY hits #2 on the charts, moving one step closer to performing "Gangnam Style" shirtless for some reason

Nobody’s having more fun with the success of “Gangnam Style” than PSY, who recently promised that he’d perform the song shirtless (for some reason) if it hits #1 on the charts. Coming into this week, it’s #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
Ranking right behind Maroon 5’s “One More Night,” which is holding steady at #1 after 14 weeks on the chart, the Korean crossover hit is gaining steam at a pretty impressive rate, holding down the second spot after just 3 weeks on the countdown.
But why would he perform shirtless? Probably because he’s out of shape, and that’s funny. Because while he’s new to the North American market, PSY’s clearly got a good handle on what we find funny. This isn’t anything new. More than a year before he broke overseas, PSY was dancing on stage to Beyonce and Lady Gaga in women’s costumes, and last August he performed in Seoul’s Jamsil Baseball Stadium wearing, uh… this
