It seems like every couple of months now, there’s a music video posted to YouTube that unites the Internet in a shared outpouring of hatred towards a vulgar display of non-talent. Rebecca Black is the easiest comparison, but you’ve also got 55-year-old casino executive A. Samuels’ “Livin’ De Life,” a video that nearly ruined hip-hop for everyone. This kind of presumptuous and self-serving creative output acted as a rallying cry to YouTube commenters and video dislikers everywhere; if Rebecca Black was going to release a music video, we were going to tell her it sucked. That’s Internet justice at its finest.

Meet NYC-based songstress Gnesa. Buzzfeed says her song will “short-circuit your brain.” Jezebel says it made them want to “feed [their] eyeballs to their butthole[s].” That might seem harsh at first, but in every sense of the word, “Wilder” is a complete trainwreck. The mid-tempo dance track has a mind-melting nightmarish quality, in the sense that it wouldn’t be too out of place in a circus-themed haunted house. You’ll find yourself wishing that Gnesa had access to auto-tune, because her throaty, tuneless warble wouldn’t even be forgivable if you were at dingy, emptying karaoke bar nearing last call.

Pro-tip: the YouTube comments below might be funnier to you if you read them BEFORE you watch the video.

So yeah, it’s terrible. Surely we’ll see some sign of public disapproval in the video’s YouTube comments, right? Does everyone still love to pile on talentless ambition?

I don’t know if we’re witnessing the masterful work of 4chan or Anonymous or something, but defying all precedence and expectations, what we’re seeing on Gnesa’s music video is an outpouring of affection and hyperbolic glee for “Wilder.” Did Gnesa pay someone to leave hundreds of insanely positive comments on her video, or did she create a song so terrible that it united Internet trolls everywhere? Maybe Gnesa is a psych major, and this is all just some kind of social experiment. Whatever it is, it’s making me feel a little bit crazy. Bravo, Internet.
