London mall wants to pay Rihanna £5 million to turn on its Christmas lights

Rihanna is reportedly thrilled that she’s in line to make more than $8 million dollars to turn on some Christmas lights at London’s Westfield shopping centre, with the Sun saying that she’s the favourite to flip the switch over the Spice Girls.
A source told the paper that “she knows it’s a big deal and is totally up for it — if it fits in with her schedule.”
She’ll be expected to perform a “mini-concert” for the expected 20,000 fans, but having to lip-synch a few songs after flipping a switch seems like a decent way to make £5 million.
Once reported to be Europe’s biggest mall, the Westfield shopping centre is in Stratford, east London, located not far from the Olympic stadium, meaning it made more than its fare share of money over the past year. This would be the second time Rihanna was given the honour: she turned the lights on at Westfield back in 2010, too.
